UNESCO appoints SciCom as International Adviser for the 1st Latin American & Caribbean Open Science Forum (CILAC)

6 – 9 September, Montevideo, Uruguay

"As an ambitious start-up aiming to colour-in Latin America and the Caribbean on the global science conferencing map, CILAC 2016 is delighted to receive so many pledges of help and encouragement."

"Nevertheless, we aim to set the professional bar high in terms of the level of engagement, programme and delegate experience we can offer. We are thus truly excited to be able to partner with the SciCom – Making Sense of Science Network and to profit from the rich international expertise it will bring. Come September 6 – 9 in Montevideo, we will deliver on thinking out of the box and in helping our region to shake-up the world of better science and society connectivity."

- Dr Lidia Brito, Director of Science Policy, UNESCO's Latin American & The Caribbean Regional Office; Former Science Minister, Mozambique.
